Robots may become man's best friend!
Leonardo DaVinci the Italian Polymath is credited for being the first to create an ANDROID. This robot was built from the designs in one of his notebooks. MESSAGE FROM THE MASTER IN ENGLISH |

JAPANESE ANDROIDS
This creepy-looking Android woman is the creation of Japanese roboticist Hiroshi Ishiguro, and it looks uncannily similar to the woman it was modeled after. Just look how realistic the robot looks: this is certainly the closest we’ve come to creating a machine that resembles us completely. Though there are many more advances to be made, this development gives you an idea of what might come in the future
Japanese scientists have unveiled the most human-looking robot yet - a "female" android named
Repliee Q1Expo.
She has flexible silicone for skin rather than hard plastic, and a number of sensors and motors to allow her to turn and react in a human-like manner. She can flutter her eyelids and move her hands like a human. She even appears to breathe.
Professor Hiroshi Ishiguro of Osaka University says one day robots could fool us into believing they are human.
Repliee Q1Expo is not like any robot you will have seen before, at least outside of science-fiction movies.
She is designed to look human and although she can only sit at present, she has 42 actuators in her upper body, powered by a nearby air compressor, programmed to allow her to move like a human.
Recent Research on human dreaming indicates that more than just subconscious entertainment is going on. Sleep appears to help us work through and understand events of the day. Sleep also seems to provide a mechanism for impressing important memories on the brain, to make sure we have a long-term record of an event or concern. Sleep also seems to have a role in learning a skill; people who practiced a skill and then slept on it were more skillful than those who had not yet had a chance to sleep.
Dr. Adami speculates that a "robot would spend the day exploring part of the landscape, and perhaps be stymied by an obstacle. At night, the robot would replay its actions and infer a model of the environment. Armed with this model, it could think of—that is, synthesize—actions that would allow it to overcome the obstacle, perhaps trying out those in particular that would best allow it to understand the nature of the obstacle. Informally, then, the robot would dream up strategies for success and approach the morning with fresh ideas."
University of UNITED ARAB EMIRATES developed their own ANDROID...
Robots have almost become like us in the East and the West, but it is time now to see them reach human scale in the Middle East. Because in order to have a better relationship with robots, they must interact more and share more experiences with humans, engineers at UAE University's Interactive Robots and Media Lab in Al Ain have developed Ibn Sina (named after the 11th century Muslim doctor and thinker), the world's first Arabic-speaking humanoid robot.

IBN SINA
It has 30 motors in the face, and 30 motors in the body (neck, shoulders, arms and fingers). The eyes move (including eyelids & eyelashes) and each eyeball has a color camera in it, to recognize who it is talking to (using face recognition software I created). The legs don't move.
